Crayon hearts, a perfect Valentine treat for the wee ones. I got a 1 1/2 inch candy heart mold at the local craft store, a box of 64 crayola crayons, and followed this as guidelines.
Blueberry linzer cookies.
I made these using Martha's recipe from the Baking Handbook. You can find the recipe here. I used blueberry jam, I made this summer, and substituted almonds for hazelnuts.
I truly love every little dorky aspect of Valentine's day. It is the perfect of holidays in my book, right up there with birthdays!
